Thin-dense chrome is satin-silver matte chromium coating. Armoloy TDC is a low-temperature, multi-stage metal finishing process derived from chrome-plating technology. Thin-dense chrome offers the wear resistance and low coefficient of friction that characterizes industrial hard chrome but also offers some level of corrosion protection. Thin-dense chrome offers a unique solution to chromium (chrome) coatings because, unlike conventional hard chrome, TDC is far more durable, flexible and can be applied to a far greater range of products and applications not possible through conventional means. Thin-dense chrome is often used and applied to reduce wear and friction on moving parts which in turn reduces maintenance and part replacement costs.
